For his birthday breakfast, Blake got some sprinkle pancakes! Not the best tasting, since it’s an egg-less recipe. The recipe made a lot of batter so I just stacked his up for a picture, but he didn’t eat very much.
We had big plans of going to the aquarium or Lego land in Grapevine then eating at the Rainforest Café, but Blake was in a whiney/cry mood all morning (he SCREAMED when we put him in the carseat to go) and we think he just didn’t feel good, so we stayed home and watched cartoons instead for the morning.
After his nap, he still wasn’t acting very well, but we decided to try out the trampoline park since it was pretty close to home and not expensive in case it didn’t last very long. Thank goodness once we got there, he jumped right on the trampolines and had a great time!
He loved the foam pit! Haha!
Daddy stacks them, Blake pushes them down.
There were only a few other kids there, so we basically had the place to ourselves. Blake needed some guidance on what to do since it was his first time, so Chris helped him out. I pretty much stood right outside the jumping areas since I was 38 weeks pregnant. (I did think that maybe some jumping might get things “moving along” ha! But bouncing did NOT sounds fun so I stayed off)
Blake LOVED the basketball goals. Good thing Chris was there to lift him up!
We had Blake’s favorite person, Addy, (and her parents) over for a birthday dinner.
We kept relighting the candle so they could blow it out :)
Blake woke up before 6AM the next morning, never really had a fever or any other signs of sickness, just didn’t feel like himself. Poor guy.
We had his 2 year checkup a few days later. Top of the charts!
We officially have a 2 year old! :) We love you so much Blake! (You’ll be a big brother in 9 days!!)
